In the book, Blueprint, the Yale scholar Nikolas Christakis, argues that over time we have developed a set of highly beneficial social features that lead us to love, community, friendships, and cooperation.  He contends that we cannot escape our overall blueprint for goodness.  After reviewing scientific evidence from both the animal and human spheres, he concludes:
